The Fairbanks area has an amazing wealth of musicians, dancers, actors and all kinds of performing artists. Join us for our free summer performance series or consider sharing your talents through the T.I.P.S. program throughout the summer in Pioneer Park!

Performing Arts Events

GAZEBO NIGHTS

Gazebo Nights Summer Performance Series features live performances every night of June, July, and August from 7-8pm. Performances take place in the white gazebo near Gold Rush Town in Pioneer Park and are FREE to attend. Nightly performances include storytelling, Middle Eastern dancing, music and more.

With the support of Fairbanks North Star Borough Parks and Recreation, Gazebo Nights began in 2002 with a free concert every Thursday evening in Pioneer Park. In the summer of 2004, concerts were held every Tuesday and Thursday. In August 2005, Monday nights were added. In 2006 concert were expanded to their current schedule: every evening during June, July and August. Artists appeared once a week for an entire month.

For Prospective Performers

Gazebo Nights performers are scheduled for one day every week during the months of June, July or August (Mondays in July, Thursdays in August, etc.). Nightly performances are from 7-8pm (with early arrival for set up) and each performance pays $50 with checks issued at the end of the month. Performances must be appropriate for a family-friendly environment.

Cancellation/ Weather Policy

If there is rain, sometimes performances will take place indoors in the Alaska Centennial Center for the Arts. (If there is a cancellation, if possible we will post on our Fairbanks Arts Facebook page as soon as we know).

T.I.P.S. (Totally Impromptu Performance Series)

T.I.P.S. is a busking program for Pioneer Park. Performers interested in participating in T.I.P.S. and playing in the Pioneer Park area must register through Fairbanks Arts Association. Please call 456.6585 ext. 226 or email events@fairbanksarts.org to apply.

You can catch T.I.P.S. performers at various locations throughout Pioneer Park including, Gazebo Stage, Native Village Stage, Stampede Stage and Gold Rush Town Boardwalk Stage.
